the Word Nevada: Kids to Kids Literacy Program Expands to
14th Southern Nevada School
On
May 22, 2007, 100 Academy of Excellence Charter School became
the fourteenth southern Nevada school to join the Kids
to Kids literacy program. Find

In
honor of the launch, students, teachers, and representatives
of Kids to Kids gathered
for an official kick-off.
  
The
assembly featured a story, acted out by faculty and Kids
to Kids volunteers (pictured below), to illustrate
that it takes a community to truly make a difference in the
lives of children.
 
The
assembly was followed by a book distribution. There are no
words to adequately describe the thrill of seeing children
beaming with excitement about books and reading.
Students
received a tote bag and five books of their choice to keep
and share.

kindergarten students treat Kids
to Kids staff and volunteers to an impromptu, ovation-worthy
musical performance.
