Kids
to Kids Partners With St. Jude's Ranch for Children To Give
Youths the Gift of Reading
February
20, 2007 - Kids to Kids
is helping expand hopes and futures by providing the foster
children of Boulder City's St. Jude's Ranch for Children with
libraries of books housed in each of the facility's cottages.

An
added gift of one special book was given to each of these
young people to be treasured as their very own. This promises
to be the beginning of a long and positive partnership between
Kids to Kids and St. Jude's
Ranch for Children, as additional books will be added to continually
develop these "keep-at-home" libraries.
St.
Jude's Ranch for Children rescues abused, abandoned and neglected
children and young people from the devastating cycle of child
abuse. They provide healing and nurturing in a safe, home-like
environment where children learn life skills to start new
lives with new choices and new hope.
Kids
to Kids believes in these same inspirationsthe
power and magic of books as the mechanisms for dreams, hope,
and opportunity. Kids to Kids
is proud to establish this legacy of literacy with St. Jude's
Ranch for Children.
Christine
Spadafor-Clay, the CEO of St. Jude's Ranch for Children comments,
"Literacy opens doors to the future through which most
of the young people we serve would rarely have the opportunity
to enter. The books provided by Kids
to Kids are important tools to be used in reading
fluency and long range school success. We are excited about
this partnership because with the help of Kids
to Kids, we will work together to shape lives,
one book at a time."
