Kids to Kids Receives Donation From Southern Highlands
Golf Club Charitable Foundation

June 27 , 2006 - Kids to Kids was pleased to receive a donation recently from the Southern Highlands Golf Club Charitable Foundation.

The Foundation generously donated $5,708 to Kids to Kids and its effort to promote literacy among Southern Nevada's at-risk children.

The group also donated 189 children's books, the result of individual donations from Southern Highlands residents. The books were collected as part of Southern Highland's Memorial Day festivities. A drawing was held for a summer gift basket, and an entry form was given out for each book donated.

Southern Highlands plans to hold similar book drives in the future, and a Kids to Kids donation basket has been made available year-round in the Southern Highlands offices.

The Southern Highlands Golf Club Charitable Foundation has raised nearly $4 million to help children, teens and women living in Southern Nevada. The funds are distributed to a number of charities in Southern Nevada, including programs to send abused children to summer camp, to give disadvantaged children with school supplies, to provide children diagnosed with cancer with assistance and support, and other important efforts.

The Southern Highlands Golf Club Charitable Foundation has been involved with Kids to Kids since 2003.
