Kids to Kids Receives $5,000 Grant From Target Corporation

November 7, 2006 - Kids to Kids is pleased to announce it will receive a $5,000 grant through the Target Corporation that will provide brand new books to youngsters served by Kids to Kids' programs.

Kids to Kids commends Target's philosophy of community outreach and support: "Real inspiration, Real possibilities, Real community." Both organizations carry out their missions through giving. Kids to Kids believes books in the hands, lives, and homes of at-risk children is their vehicle for inspiration and possibilities. Target makes these dreams realities through their generous funding.

Kids to Kids Executive Director, Lisa Habighorst (above) commented, "This support from Target validates the role literacy plays in the future academic and life-long success for our children, especially for the low-income child. Literacy opens doors to the future through which most of the youngsters served by Kids to Kids would rarely have the opportunity to enter.

"It is a great community that cares for those in need while preparing them for a prosperous and successful future. Target is a valuable part of Southern Nevada's greatness and is helping to change children's lives, one book at a time."
