Kids to Kids Joins With Barnes & Noble to Distribute Books at Twin Lakes Elementary School

January 14, 2009 - On Jan. 14, Kids to Kids joined with Barnes & Noble representatives to distribute books collected by the company during its 2008 holiday book drive. More than 3,100 books were collected at four local Barnes & Noble locations.

Students at Twin Lakes Elementary School were the first beneficiaries of generous donation made by Barnes & Noble and its customers. Children attending Robert Taylor Elementary and Paradise Elementary will also receive books from the Holiday Giving Book Drive.

Laurie Hartig, Program Director of Spread the Word Nevada: Kids to Kids said, "Barnes & Noble Booksellers has been a valuable partner with Spread the Word Nevada for years, with each store serving as a collection site for families to drop off their gently-used children's books they have outgrown. We're honored that Barnes & Noble would select our organization to receive the beautiful books purchased by their customers for us to distribute to the children we serve. We are also touched by the community's response of giving during the holidays resulting in so many books donated for the children in the Las Vegas area."
