You’ve been with us over the years, making sure the children we serve have the magic of books at their fingertips. Now, our kids need you more than ever! Help us celebrate Spread the Word Nevada’s big 2-0 by supporting our “$20k for 20 Years” fundraiser. During the month of May, we’re raising $20,000 (or more!) to help fund our summer reading program, Books on Break. BOB provides books and literacy programming to children in need during the summer months in an effort to prevent the “summer slide.” Every summer, thousands of kids in our community take part in this amazing program – that’s a lot of reading!
This year, your support for these programs is vital. Distance learning and challenges of the pandemic have made access to quality learning hard, and the upcoming summer months are only going to make the already high rates of learning attrition worse. But we know that with your help we can make a huge difference in the lives of hundreds of children.
Our birthday is a beautiful reminder that you, our faithful supporters, are the reason children in need throughout Nevada are able to reach beyond the confines of their neighborhoods through the adventures found in a good book. We are grateful to continue serving our state’s students and even more grateful for your unfailing support!
