Kids to Kids puts books into the hands of at-risk children so they may build home libraries. Book ownership is a critical factor in every child’s intellectual development. Far too often, the books provided through the Kids to Kids program are the first books these children have ever owned.
The Family Literacy Program increases the awareness and importance of reading as a family activity. Each program consists of a light snack, story time, raffle and the opportunity for children and their parents to select books to keep. Basic reading strategies are reinforced, and the program fosters a love of reading in the home.
Books & Buddies is a reading program that partners students with volunteer mentors, fostering a love of reading while improving literacy skills and confidence.
