Did you know that reading readiness begins at birth? Readers in Training (RIT) is Spread the Word Nevada’s early intervention program serving birth to 5-year-olds. This program is aimed at establishing an early love of reading and increasing kindergarten readiness through access to developmentally appropriate books for the first five years of life.
Through this program, we will serve children ages 0-5 and their parents/guardians, making it possible for your younger children to join in the fun!
Children enrolled in this program will receive:
– Age-appropriate new books mailed monthly
– Tips and activities
– Quarterly small group training & story times
