Thank you for making our 21st annual Storybook Gala presented by Findlay Toyota, Findlay Honda Henderson, and Findlay Honda Centennial!
The event, presented by Findlay Toyota, Findlay Honda Henderson, and Findlay Honda in Centennial Hills, was held on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at the stunning ARIA Resort & Casino. Guests watched and enjoyed as we brought to life the sights and sounds of this year’s storybook classic – The One Hundred and One Dalmatians by Dodie Smith. Guests enjoyed an amazing three-course meal, along with entertainment, a live auction, and opportunities to support the life-changing mission of Spread the Word Nevada.
At one point in the evening, we presented a video showcasing the bright-minded kiddos of our Readers in Training and Books & Buddies programs. As they read aloud and shared their thoughts on their favorite books, we must be reminded that these kids’ 101 reasons to read are OUR 101 reasons to give.
Our CEO & Co-Founder Lisa Habighorst also shared an update on our Forever Home. Despite having distributed more than 7 million free books to children in need since our inception in 2001, Spread the Word Nevada lacks the infrastructure to serve the many more thousands of children in Nevada that need our services. Explore our capital campaign to secure our new forever home in the heart of Las Vegas.
